WHMIS/GHS:
Responsible Chemical Management
While many workers across the province wince when we discuss chemcial management, we have LOTS more to offer in person in our content than any online course! In fact, we've had such positive feedback from participants who've taken it, many people stating it was galaxies better than online modules regurgitated by AI or absence in opportunity for gathering more information. HOw is it different? We introduce some Occupational Hygiene principles to assist with better understanding how what you use daily affects your body not just today, but 10 years down the road. Many workers are exposed to Designated Substances daily and have no idea that long term, these chemcials and agents diminish and deplete your quality of life and we don't want that for you!
Still not sure? Read some of the reviews on the course below. Our content relates how YOUR chemicals get managed safely in your workplace with your workers.
Need more than just training? Reach our for our ability to help you create an SDS Catalogue and assist your employees in site specific familiarization with chemiclas, supporting their Right to Know!
This half day (4 hour) awareness course is offered at CWST in our classrooms or at client location.
Alternatively, this course pairs well with half day Respirator Fit Testing, both courses can be taken same day at a discounted rate.
Kindly note that Fit Testing for respirators is not able to be performed on unshaven participants and that results of the fit test may be slightly altered were participants are known to consume nicotine products or cigarette smoke.
Minimum class sizes are 6 participants, and in the event enrollment minimums aren't achieved, the next available dates will be offered to clients.
This course supports effective means for employer and worker duty of care; it does not negate the employer requirement to properly train workers annually in safe handling storage and use for their industry specific chemicals. Employers are responsible for training their employees on the chemicals they use including the safe handling and protective measures as per the SDS provided by manufacturer or supplier.
