Natural Gas Heat (CH-02)

**This course is half a day (4 hours) and is available at CWST facilities and off site at client locations.** The price is $165pp

Minimum class sizes are 5 participants, and in the event enrollment minimums aren't achieved, the next available dates will be offered to clients.

The program includes hands-on training outdoors, consisting of connecting, lighting and disconnecting a torch or heater, and classroom performance reviews. All participants are asked to dress according to weather conditions as the practical portion of the course will be completed outdoors.

Certification offered will be valid 3 years from the date of issue.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will:

Understand the requirements under the TSSA and the OHSA related to Natural Gas use
Identify the hazards associated with Natural Gas connections
Understand the applications and equipment used with connecting a natural gas source for supplying construction heat
Describe safe work practices with heaters under 400,000 BTU/h
Demonstrate subject knowledge by successfully completing a TSSA approved theory test
Demonstrate a safe and successful connection of a torch using a Natural Gas connection
